“Looking for Love” (2004)Images on this black chair include the Queen and King of Hearts, The Joker, cupids, and hearts, all expressions of a fanciful and romantic mood. A sense of yearning is expressed between a flute player, sending out notes across space, and the listening tortoise. The figure of a solitary penguin looking out the back is humorous and wistful. |

“Habitus Literati” (2005)Magazine rack, green, 1930’s style with Art Nouveau prints and amusing quotations about books and writing. Its pretentious title alludes to the habits and habitat of literary types, providing a little tongue in cheek humor that reminds readers to not take the (literary) life too seriously. |

“Peace. Because.” (2005)Chair, white and black with vivid blue stripe and magical cat figure. Images trace the liminal space/time of transition between day and night. Beautiful images interconnect. Beauty has value and asserts its own meaning; in the clarifying light of beauty some things become obvious and definite – like the need for peace on earth. |

“The Matriline” (2006)Table, Double-decker, metal, with images of women in warm tones. There are actually three collage art spaces on this table, including underneath images expressing the connection between three generations of females. One experiences the heat of these warm colors in connection to beautiful images of women from different cultures. The images are placed so that the table can be viewed from any direction. |
